Triple-R: Greenhaven

Greenhaven Center at the Asian Community Center

The Greenhaven Center opened in June 2002 in the newly built Asian Community Center. Smaller than the Midtown Center, the Greenhaven Center is quieter, but no less active. Activities include art projects, exercise such as float ball (a gentler form of volleyball where participants are seated), reminiscence, bingo and socializing. Bilingual staff include fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Mien, and Hmong.

Transportation:

About 20% of our participants come by Paratransit (a transportation system available at a low cost in Sacramento County - for more information dial (916) 429-2009 or contact your nearest Triple-R site for an application), and 80% by family members. Participants attending the Greenhaven Center can utilize the new low-cost transportation program sponsored by the Asian Community Center; for details, please call Misa Takagi at (916) 808-4003.

Cost:

Varies depending on individual care needs—$70-$76/day. Advanced care also available for an additional fee. Limited scholarship is available for those who are eligible to apply.
